Softball Complete Event Package

House-league Softball is offered for both Junior and Intermediate Divisions for boys and girls.

Since it is 3-Pitch Softball, there are a few modifications from regular softball.

2. Batting side must supply a pitcher who may NOT touch or field a batted ball at any time. If the pitcher does touch the ball or is hit by a batted ball, the batter is automatically out and play becomes “dead”.

4. Gloves may be worn by all players. Mitts may only be worn by the catcher or first base.

7. Infield Fly Rule of softball will be used. – If there is a runner(s) on the bases, and the ball is “popped up” on the infield, and there are fewer than two (2) out, the batter is automatically out and runners advance at own risk.

8. An inning consists of the batting team having three out or batting once around the batting order (9 players), whichever occurs first.

9. When the pitcher has control of the ball, or the ball is being thrown directly to the pitchers, all play automatically becomes “dead”.

10. a. The distance between the bases shall be 15 metres (50').
b. The minimum distance from pitcher’s box to home plate shall be 10.5 metres (35').

11. The decision of the umpire will be final at all times
