The
Board's Mission Statement
To
serve the Catholic student of London District in a
community that nurtures a living faith and
provides a quality Catholic education that enables
the individual to become a contributing member of
the Church and Society. |

One
of the key responsibilities of the Committee is to bring
recommendations to the Board on any item that deals with
the distinct Catholic character of the system. For
example, the Committee has made recommendations
regarding Qualifications (Catholic components) for those
seeking Positions of Added Responsibility with the
Board. As well, it has formulated plans regarding the
extension of Captaincy to the elementary schools and has
addressed the need for a Faith Animator. The Committee has
promoted increased communication with the Faculty of
Education in order to support the preparation of
teachers with religious education qualifications.
Many
of the recommendations brought forth by Committee members
are based on suggestions from the stakeholder groups in
our community. In order to fulfill the Committee's mandate,
the Committee recognizes the importance of innovative
ideas that help build on the distinctive Catholic
character of our school system.
