April 25th 2008

This Wednesday was Earth Day - a day when we are all encouraged to think green and care for our planet.  Across the LDCSB, hundreds of students were making a difference.  Earth Day is one of the oldest conservation movements in Canada. It was founded in 1990, encouraging Canadians to clear up garbage and debris from their communities and make them greener.
Above, the Student Parliament at St. Thomas More Catholic School celebrated Earth Day by organizing a cleanup of the school yard!

St. Joseph's (Thamesford) celebrated Earth Day with a school mass, clean up of the school yard, and spreading mulch to beautify the gardens around the school. (Above)
