Kindergarten students at St. Anthony French Immersion School treated their favourite stuffed animals to snacks and sunshine during the school's Teddy Bear Picnic.
Holy Family Catholic French Immersion was looking for a way to inform people interested in French Immersion. To that end, this video was produced with the help of many people including the Katimavik volunteers, the school prime minister, a Catholic School council representative and many hours. "Since our launch online, we have received many calls from all over Oxford and some even from Londo," said Principal Stephan Pelland.  "A shorter version of our video will be highlighted on Rogers cable TV. Our staff, students, and parents should be congratulated for the work that was put into producing this video."
Students taking CHI4U at St. Mary's High School recently welcomed guest speaker Mr. Gregory Fekner. Mr. Fekner is a SMHS alumnus and curator of the Princeton Museum. He spent the period teaching students about the Benwell-Birchall murder trial of 1890. The trial was about the sensational murder of Frederick Cornwalis Benwell in the Blenheim Swamp (east of Woodstock). The trial, held at the original Woodstock City Hall, received considerable media coverage in Britain and the United States. Mr. Fekner showed students artifacts including the autopsy report, autopsy tools and a replica of the noose used to hang Reginald Birchall.
