Mrs. M. Mercredi's Grade 3 class at St. Anne School created this beautiful nativity scene as part of their preparations for Christmas. They are also busy preparing for their pageant.

CFLL St. Patrick Campus Annual Christmas Coffee House:
The Centre for Lifelong Learning takes time to celebrate some Christmas Cheer with its annual Coffee House held on December 10th this year. The adult credit and ESL students and their teachers dropped into the gym for coffee, tea, juice and some Christmas cookies and friendly conversation.  Among our special guests this year were Mrs. Catherine Sexton, our Supervisory Officer, and Mr. Bill Nevill,  former Principal.

The LBS Program celebrated the Christmas Season on December 12th during their last day of classes before the Christmas Break. Staff, Kim Vlielander and Jane Lambourn-Miller, and students shared some Christmas treats and some students added to their regular dress for the occasion.

Students and staff at St. Anthony French Immersion School celebrated the Christmas season "en francais et anglais" during its "La Fete de Noel" at St. Justin's Church. The students presented songs and plays in French and English for their parents and the school community. Afterward, they received a special visit from Pere Noel and some treats to mark Jesus's birth.
Sir Arthur Carty School hosted its 3rd Annual Christmas Mania
today. Students and parents were able to buy baked goods,
crafts and Christmas gifts as well as draw tickets for larger prizes.
All items were donated by families, staff and neighbouring businesses.
Proceeds are used to help needy families in the school community.

The St. Mark Grade 3 classes had the opportunity to visit City Hall and decorate a Christmas tree in the lobby. Because the classes are studying pioneer times, the students made ornaments that the pioneers would have put on their trees. The students were joined by Board of Control Member Gina Barber who took the students into the Council Chambers as well as passing out candy canes and City of London pins. Merry Christmas!

For the last two years, our students in Anita Rodrigues' sewing class at John Paul ll have made Santa bags for the Be An Angel Campaign and for staff and students to buy. All home rooms are asked to use reusable cloth bags to put the gifts in. They discourage the use of paper bags, in order to reduce the overload of garbage at Christmas time.

Holy Cross Elementary celebrated the Christmas season with their annual turkey lunch prepared by the School Council and parent volunteers. The tradition began 33 years ago by a former teacher, Mary McLaughlin, who still attends the luncheon every year.
