     The Spirit of Christmas

A Christmas tradition at the Catholic Education Centre: Paul Stock and the St. Paul Choir shared a Christmas gift  with staff
in the form of Christmas carols.

St. Rita’s reached into their hearts and into their closets for their Advent project “Dress the Halls.” Students and staff gathered gently used clothing that will be sent to needy families in Third World countries through the Holy Trinity Mission Sewing Group. Paper cut-outs of clothes were hung throughout the school on “clothes lines” to represent the donated items. A big thank you goes to everyone who donated. It was a project that cost nothing while giving a lot.

A Christmas Message from the Director

Christmas is not a time or a season, but it is a state of mind.
Cherish peace and goodwill, be plenteous in mercy and may you have the gladness of Christmas which is hope, the spirit of Christmas which is peace and the heart of Christmas
 which is love.

May God continue to shine his blessings upon you this season and all year round. Merry Christmas.

Wilma de Rond
Director of Education

The 'Be An Angel Campaign' at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary school raised over $10,000 in gifts and donations to help 31 families in all.  Student Council also made a donation of a thousand dollars to help the cause. (Above)

Members of the STA Chaplaincy Team pose with gift boxes made for seniors living at McCormick Home in West London. The 71 students on chaplaincy made and decorated the boxes. Each box contains an STA cross and a hand written letter from a student explaining who the student is and that their gift for that senior is the promise to keep them in their prayers. Staff at the McCormick Home will hand out the boxes to the residents on Christmas morning.
