The Sun Sets on a Great Year!

Retiring Principal Catherine Richard says goodbye to students at St. Anthony French Immersion for the last time.

An End of Year Message from
Bill Hall,
Chair,  Board of Trustees

It is hard to believe that we have already reached the end of another school year and what a year it has been!

The months have been filled with tremendous accomplishments, of which we should be very proud.

Virtually every single day we found something significant to celebrate among the remarkable accomplishments our staff and students.

It has been a pleasure for me to meet so many staff in person as I journeyed from school to school over the past year. I have seen first-hand our faith-filled schools and the dedicated staff who make such a difference in every classroom. For this and for everything you do, I say thank you.

We must always remember that Catholic education is a wonderful gift, forged over the past 175 years in the province of Ontario.

We must cherish it, guard it and protect it.

We must help it continue to grow and to flourish.

With your help and your support, it will continue to be strong.

Have a wonderful summer. You have earned it.

An An End of Year Message from Wilma de Rond,  Director of Education

The end of a school year means different things to each of us. Some of us will be moving on to new places, others to new responsibilities. We give thanks for the blessings of the past school year and we invite our gracious God to continue with us as we journey through the changes that the summer will bring.

There are so many reasons for us to give thanks: for the members of our home, school parish and community and for all those entrusted with the mission of education in the light of faith.

As the school year draws to a close, I thank each of you for what you have accomplished in Christ. Thank you’ to the staff, students, parents, volunteers and supporters. Thank you to our clergy and parish teams. Together we have done great things and you should all be very proud of what we have accomplished.

This summer prayer, author unknown, reflects the hopes and sentiments of many of us:

“Long warm days...The pace of life slows... Lord, help me to rest awhile in the cooling shade of your presence. Slow down my restless heart and fill me with gentle compassion for all your people. Amen.”

Until we meet again, renewed and refreshed and energized to do the work of God, I pray that each of you will have a holy and a safe summer.

May God Bless.

"Thank you for all of your hard work throughout the 20009-10 school year. I ask for your ongoing commitment and dedication in all of the work we do for Ontario's students."

On February 1 the new Keeping Our Kids Safe at School Act (Bill 157) came into force. This legislation supports the London District Catholic School Board's belief that all members of our school community - staff, students, parents, and community agencies - have a role to play in making our schools a safe place in which to learn.
