RMC Honoured for Helping the Environment

Regina Mundi Catholic College is the first and only school in the board to become certified as an Ontario Eco School. The school has just been notified that it has received silver status, which is an amazing accomplishment for a first-time applicant. In the successful attempt, the Eco Club arranged an awareness week for Earth Week, a 20 minute makeover of the school grounds on Earth Day, established a cell phone, digital camera and printer cartridge recycling system in the school, set up "Good on one side" paper stations throughout the school and planted trees in our peace garden. To receive the certification, the school had to submit examples of work, as well as have a representative from the program come and evaluate the school.

St. Paul Catholic Elementary School Celebrates it Champions! Today was the Parade of Champions at St. Paul. All of the winners and high finishers at the recent elementary track and field meet paraded around the Oakridge Park neighbourhood of the school, proudly showing off their trophies.

On February 1 the new Keeping Our Kids Safe at School Act (Bill 157) came into force. This legislation supports the London District Catholic School Board's belief that all members of our school community - staff, students, parents, and community agencies - have a role to play in making our schools a safe place in which to learn.
