Taking a Tumble!
Thousands take part in Educational Gymnastics Meet

March 13th, 2009

Close to three thousand students from 47 schools took part this week in the Educational Gymnastics Meet, held over three days at the Western Fair Agriplex. That included both city and county schools.  Children demonstrated their gymnastics skills in partners or in small groups in unique and interesting sequences using various apparatus and arrangements. The routines were judged on meeting the required elements, technique and performance. Each participant  received a certificate indicating the strengths of his or her performance as well as a standard award in bronze, silver or gold. The participants were judged according to the standards and not against the other participants.  Above, St. Rita students strut their stuff.  Below, students from St. Paul Catholic Elementary School showed their talent.

Holy Rosary had a great time at the meet on Monday. Above are the pictures to prove it.
