Of St. Marguerite, EQAO says: "As a school where student
needs are complex, St. Marguerite respects the immense power of data
and appreciates the availability of EQAO results for planning
sessions in early September. Convening as a team to explore their
educational implications has long been a priority for staff.
Individual Item Report data assist in identifying student strengths
and needs while establishing patterns in student performance.
Together with curriculum expectations and board documents, these
findings guide school curriculum initiatives and teaching practice,
with the ultimate goal of improving student learning."
“We have fantastic teachers, a good mix of teachers, who know
the school, the system and, most importantly, the culture of the
school. They’re doing a wonderful job of sharing with the new
teachers," said former Principal Gary O’Donnell.
Back to School at St. Patrick in Lucan, where
the opening School Mass at St. Patrick Church involved the blessing
of hands to work, play and love.
The blessing of Holy Cross Elementary School
took place this morning. Using Holy Water, blessed at
our beginning of the year Mass yesterday, Ms. Paul-O'Donnell,
Acting Principal and Deacon Joe led the students in a reflection
about being a light for one another. Students then went back to
their classes and drew pictures of how they would shine at Holy
Cross School this year. Each student and staff member then received
a blessing.
