LDCSB Sports
St. Joseph's High School’s 8th Annual Invitational Track and Field was a huge success this week, with the smiles of participants warming up the rather chilly weather. About 175 student athletes from nine are high schools competed in a series of events, cheered on by 125 staff members and volunteers.  A free lunch and goodie bags for athletes and coaches were all done through donations from local business. Congratulations to all of those who worked so hard to make it another terrific day!

Congratulations to the St. Joseph’s Girls Slo-Pitch Team on a fantastic day at the first annual RMC Slo- Pitch Tournament.  The girls went undefeated to win the tournament overcoming challenges from the host Titans, STA, East Elgin, and a tough St. Mary’s team along the way.
Above, players from Mother Teresa square off against their rivals from Regina Mundi, in both boys' and girls' games. The coaching picture from RMC  includes (5 people) - Jenn Johnston (RMC EA), Rick Sheardown (RMC Student Success teacher), Tom Dutton (RMC Charge Custodian), Tracey Swift (RMC Athletic Director and Tournament Convenor), and Cynthia Mercer (RMC Head Secretary)
