DEPARTMENT VISION STATEMENT
The LDCSB
Program Department staff shares this vision of the learner. We are
dedicated to providing to parents/guardians, teachers and system
administrators the excellent support services necessary to assist
students in becoming the type of learner envisioned in the Ontario
Catholic School Graduate Expectations.
Program Department staff will work collaboratively with parents/guardians,
teachers and school administrators in providing for the learning
needs of all students. We will assist system educators in ensuring
the Ontario Curriculum is accessible by all students in an inclusive
learning environment by:
- Providing
high quality in-service on instructional and assessment strategies
that will meet the varied needs of all learners ;
- Developing
learning materials and resources for both teachers and students;
- Providing
assessment, consulting, programming, counselling and referral
services to all learners when necessary;
- Focusing
our combined efforts, decision making and expenditures on improving
all students’ learning and achievement.
Success
for all students means that all students are prepared to be contributing
members of their Church and society.
