As many of you know Mrs. Hammond is retiring!

I have been principal at Catholic Central for 5 years and Vice Principal for the 3 years prior. CCH has accounted for a very significant 20 years of my 36 years in education because I was also a teacher and English Department Head here from 1982-1994. This vibrant, tradition rich, Catholic school has been very important to me and, while it is difficult to leave, I feel very positive to be leaving, Mr. Mark Priamo, the new principal a great school with its supportive staff, strong programs and enthusiastic, involved students.

I would like to thank the CCH Community for its loyalty and consistent support. I have enjoyed working on school concerns and a variety of projects with the School Council, Music Parents Association and the CCH Alumni. You have faithfully advocated for the school, and have successfully accomplished many tasks and projects to directly benefit CCH students with financial and moral support. I am also very grateful to the dedicated staff at CCH. The teachers and support staff work together to educate our students and offer them interesting programs and extracurricular opportunities in a faith based environment. They also keep the building and property safe, clean and well organized.

To the students: I have enjoyed being your principal and I am very proud of how you demonstrate and develop the Catholic Graduate Expectations. Keep looking out for and supporting one another. Special congratulations to the class of 2010.

The slogan for 2011 is "Catholic Central High School: 60 Years of Success". I am blessed to have been part of it.

London's first Catholic High School opened with Grade 11, 12 and 13 in September 1950. It is situated in the heart of the city and provides a Christ-centered, culturally diverse, vibrant learning environment.
