While our "Extreme Makeover: Classroom Edition" performance task was touted as "Something New" by the St. Thomas Times-Journal, engaging students in rich learning experiences should be the norm rather than the exception! The article continued on page two of the February 23, 2007 edition.
In 2001, Programs were in their infancy at the Centre for Excellence. That didn't stop experts in media education from taking note of our work and publishing a flattering article on how we used technology "to help kids connect with one another" in Teach Magazine.

While we appreciated London Free Press coverage of our"Council of All Beings" performance task, it was a letter from a participant that really let us know how important our work was!

Many members of the Rich Performance Task writing team have received email correspondence in support of our work. One of the most interesting responses we received was from San Diego State University, a place many consider to be the birthplace of the WebQuest!
Being highlighted on page 1 of the Grade 5 Newsletter "Jones Land Press" was an even bigger treat for the author of the "Extreme Ostrich Makeover" performance task!

In seeking permission to use photos of ships on the Great Lakes, we were treated to a letter that essentially answered the questions posed in our "To Dredge or not to Dredge" performance task!

Other experts we contacted in developing our online tasks wrote to lend their support to our 'innovative approach to education'!
