OERB: SEARCH by EXPECTATIONS

A Step by Step Search

The database contains a 'Browse by Expectations' option that allows users to drill down to find expectations that meet increasingly specific criteria.

Browse By Expectations

The more carefully categorized resources can be found under 'Browse by Expectations'. For now, only two options are available, users can browse by Ontario Curriculum Expectations, or by Catholic Graduate Expectations.

* Note: The next user to use the same login (i.e, another teacher from your DSB) will by default search by the type of expectations highlighted.

Select a Language

English and French are the options...

Browsing by Ontario Curriculum Expectations

Next, select a Grade.

Clicking the magnifying glass at any time will display all resources that fit the criteria chosen to date.

Subject area or Course

Next, specify a subject area (elementary), or course (secondary).

or

Click the magnifying glass to see all resources tagged for a particular grade & subject/course.

Specify a Strand

If you'd like to find resources that target a specific strand, you can select the magnfiying glass. For overall expectations within a strand, drill down one more time by clicking the strand.

Overall Expectations

The deepest search option is the Overall Expectations. From this point you can browse the resources that have targeted any particular expectation... Simply click the magnifying glass to return relevant resources.
