Mission Statement:

Holy Family Community in harmony with The London District Catholic School Board
and the Diocese of London provides an educational setting which stimulates students
to acquire life skills in an orderly and effective way and encourages them to make their
faith living, conscious, and active, through commitment, example and instruction.

What is French Immersion?

The Early French Immersion Program begins in Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten or Grade 1. It offers 90% French instruction in the classroom until the end of Grade 3. English instruction is gradually introduced beginning in Grade 1. All subjects are taught in French except for English, Choices Into Action, and Religion. There are 2 schools across the LDCSB that offer entry to the Early Immersion program. The program continues to the end of secondary school and students who successfully complete a minimum of twelve credits in French are eligible for a Certificate of Bilingual Studies in French Immersion.

All communication to parents, including report cards, is in English. Parents are kept informed through weekly newsletters along with regular classroom newsletters. The Early French Immersion program is open to all Catholic students residing in London, Middlesex, Elgin and Oxford.

I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with the Holy Family Catholic French Immersion School community. I am fortunate to journey with a staff guided by the principle that students come first. As an advocate of children, I will continue to act with conviction to do what needs to be done on their behalf, to actualize the uniqueness of every student and to collaborate in enhancing academic excellence, skill development and the values necessary to become responsible citizens and contributing members of society.  Together, students, parents and staff can and truly will make a difference.
