Dear
Students, Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the
St. Joseph's Catholic School community and to a new academic year
filled with promise and opportunity!
To make this
year great we must all strive to promote a loving, caring, Catholic
community where all members look out for one another—a place
where each of us can grow, learn and be proud of each of our accomplishments.
The goal of St. Joseph's Catholic School is to encourage excellence
in Catholic education through the promotion of a safe, pleasant and
productive learning environment in co-operation with the home and
the parish.
As Catholics,
we collectively acknowledge that we are members of Christ’s
mystical body, and so we treat each other with respect and dignity
and complete our tasks responsibly. Our intent is to provide a community
where Catholic values are respected both in theory and in practice.
We feel that the total environment of school will be one in which
students and staff will experience living in a genuine Christian Community
where respect, love, faith and equality are practised. Working collaboratively,
we will keep St. Joseph's Catholic School the extraordinary school
that the community of Tillsonburg has come to know - an institution
of excellence that each one of is proud to call our own.
At St. Joseph's,
we believe that the work of Catholic educators should engender a feeling
of self worth, self-discipline and respect for both the student and
the educator. We also recognize that parents and guardians are the
first and foremost providers of academic, social and spiritual discipline
for children. We will ask that parents and guardians remain in close
contact with us and play a vital part in supporting their children's
school.
To our students
we ask that you work hard as children of God and know that the staff
at St. Joseph's Catholic School are here to foster your talents and
strengths and to cheer you on as you continue to grow as dynamic Catholic
citizens.
Remember…
“If we pray, we will believe;
If we believe, we will love;
If we love, we will serve.”
Mother Teresa
We extend a warm welcome to all members of our school community!
With kind regards,
FCG Fowlie
