Remembrance
Day, November 11, 2008 The
students at OLOL observed this solemn day and paid tribute to the
service men and women who died bravely defending our country. Our
Primary Division held a Remembrance Day Liturgy in the gymnasium while
our older students walked to the Delaware Cenotaph to participate
in the town's Remembrance Day ceremony. |

Andrea
Beck Author Visit, November 20, 2008
Andrea Beck, author of
the famous Elliot Moose series of books, braved the blizzard and
arrived safely at our school to talk to our Primary Division about
the creative process. We were educated, entertained and amused.
Thanks to the Catholic School Council for funding this wonderful
event!! |

Canadian Children's Book Week to a visit from a couple of London Knights
to some snowy shenanigans, we were all smiles! |

at OLOL put on some wonderful Christmas shows to celebrate this holy

Christmas
Luncheon, December 18, 2008
Our much-anticipated annual
Christmas Luncheon was a smashing success as always! Students and
special guests ate, sang, and met Santa... and we closed it off
with another rousing rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas headed
by Mr. Orsini, Mme. Dunn-Robinson and Mrs. Evans. Thanks to the
parents and volunteers who helped make this a very memorable meal. |

Flood
Pictures - December, 2008 While
we were enjoying our Christmas Break, the forces of nature combined
to create some very high water levels. Here are some photos that were
shot at the height of the flood. |

Flood
Pictures - February 12, 2009 Today
we experienced some fairly high water levels that forced Mr. Van Den
Belt's class to abandon their portable (see photo at right) for drier
quarters in the library. Click on the photo at right to see more. |
