WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

Principal's Message

As Principal of Regina Mundi Catholic College it is indeed my pleasure to welcome everyone back to another school year. In particular a warm welcome is extended to our new Titans entering Grade 9 and new students transferring from other area schools or new to the London and area community.

Over the last 8 years I have been Principal of Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School and I am very excited to be returning to the RMC family having taught here in the mid 1980s and serving as Vice Principal from 1998 to 2001. Our new Vice Principal appointments include Mr. Stan Verschoore and Mr. Rick Sheardown. Mr. Verschoore is an RMC alumni having served the St. Mary's Catholic Secondary School (Woodstock) community as teacher and Vice principal. Mr. Sheardown most recently has served as the Student Success Teacher at RMC.

RMC has a rich history and as a Catholic school community has always set a high standard of excellence in academics, the Arts and athletics but more importantly in our faith journey as seen through the countless activities and events organized in service to the community.

My hope is that our new RMC students and families will experience a faith filled love for life and service to our community. The safety and comfort of all within our community is very important to us. This website, RMC newsletter, and the Student Agenda Planner (which students receive on the first day of classes) includes comprehensive information with regards to school year events, general policies and procedures and school expectations. We are confident that with your support together with the support of our school council, school community resource police officer and staff that we will have a positive and safe learning environment for all of our students.

This website outlines many important happenings over the few months at Regina Mundi Catholic College. Please take a few moments to note the various dates, times and events listed. In closing I welcome each of you and wish you and your families a healthy and successful school year.

CRIME STOPPERS

Regina Mundi Catholic College is fortunate to be connected with the community Crimestoppers program. The Student Crime Stoppers program was designed to encourage and assist students in "taking charge" and contributing in a positive manner towards making schools a crime-free environment. The program has the ability to provide our schools with benefits that usually affect all our communities.

The Student Crime Stoppers Program encourages students with information concerning a criminal activity to call 1-800-222-TIPS anonymously. Callers never have to give their name or testify in court. The call is taken anonymously and given a code number for reference. Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display. Operators work around the clock 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If your tip leads to an arrest or successful school conclusion, you can earn a cash reward of up to $2,000. Information may also be given anonymously by filling out a form in the RMC guidance office and submitting it in the wooden box beside the reception area, or by e-mailing crimestoppers@ldcsb.on.ca. In your e-mail, place the text RMC at the top of your message so we know it is from our school. E-mails WILL NOT BE TRACED. They will be used in complete confidence.
