Research and Evaluation provides
consultative, analytic and decision-making support to Board and school
personnel regarding assessment and measurement activities, program evaluation
methods, system-wide and school-level quality improvement initiatives
and educational research studies. Through the use of evidence-based decision-making,
Research and Evaluation endeavours to build system and school capacity
towards enhancing student learning and achievment, improving learning
environments, instructional practices and educational programs.
In addition, Research and Evaluation
also provides professional development workshops regarding data management
and analysis, school improvement planning, evaluation and research methods.
Research and Evaluation also serves
as a liaison with community agencies, service organizations and universities
that wish to conduct evaluation and research studies within the Board. |
