Strategic Priorities – Focus on Learning
Catholic Identity

The London District Catholic School Board is dedicated to success for all students in a learning environment that fosters the dignity and value of each learner through faith-development and academic excellence. Student Success focuses on literacy, numeracy, pathways and community, culture and caring. While its primary focus is working with students identified as at risk due to attendance, disengagement, achieving at or below level one or lack of accumulated credits for graduation; Student Success supports all students through resource and professional development across the system.

In partnership with the Program Department, Student Success

- Promotes the importance of individual learning success within a community of learning

- Facilitates the development of teaching strategies that supports the need for differentiate learning experiences in order to address a variety of student needs

- Offers temporary alternative educational experiences for students who are at risk

- Allocates resources to support individual school initiatives for student success

- Focuses on data collection and analysis to improve student learning for all students

- Fosters the continued development of a distinctly Catholic education for all students through the integration of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations

Student Success has held professional development workshops for teachers across the system in areas such as differentiated learning, literacy development, math manipulatives, the development of essential skills for the workplace, building pathways and working with at risk students. Student Success continues to work with schools to develop the necessary resources, both human and material, to help each and every student succeed.
